Mission Statement
History: Tioga Franklin Saving Bank (TFSB) was founded in 1873, when Ulysses S. Grant was President. The Bank was present for the beginning and end of such events as the Spanish- American War, WWI, The Crash of 1929, WWII, the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969, to the advent of the personal computer in the 1970’s, and the dot com (digital age) era of the 2000s. TFSB is a digital bank where the future of banking is you.
Over the past 150 years TFSB has maintained a stellar financial service record to the residents of Philadelphia. At this pinnacle point in history, the Bank is seeking to expand it’s product offerings and market presence throughout the greater Philadelphia market, which includes Southern New Jersey and parts of Delaware.
Mission: The Mission of Tioga Franklin Savings Bank is to promote community development through customer-oriented solutions to under-served consumers and minority populations, including minority-owned businesses. This will be achieved through (a) technology transformation, (b) strategic personnel recruitment, and (c) a comprehensive outreach in four key areas outlined in the Vision. As one of the oldest banks in the USA, TFSB has the opportunity to employ its informed advantage of continuous service to the Philadelphia metro and nearby New Jersey constituencies with a national outlook.
Vision: With managerial efforts focused on best practices, we desire to assist in our customers’ financial growth (financial momentum). This ultimately allows us to manage the Bank’s internal and external development and profitability. The goal of the Board of Directors is to oversee the creation of a state-of-the-art financial institution that operates in a safe and sound manner while achieving significant financial strength and reputation. Management will focus on four areas that will provide economic momentum to our customers: ¨ The first area is Mortgage Banking, which aims to provide residential mortgages at competitive rates, incorporating a first-home-buying program. ¨ The second area is Small Business Financing, in which the objective is to assist as many small businesses, especially minority businesses, with SBA financing and/or traditional commercial loans. ¨ The third focus is Wealth Management, where the intent is to attract “brand” athletes (NBA, WNBA, NFL, etc.) as well as management of high-profile institutional funds. ¨ The fourth area of focus will be immersive, robust Mobile Banking and Rewards Card product lines to meet the needs of our prospects and customers where they are, nationally, to contribute to large-scale growth for the Bank’s core deposits and overall profitability.
2023 Addendum: As a 150-year-old commercial bank, we believe The Future of Banking Is You. Consistent with that inclusive message, our 150th years of continuous service is the perfect opportunity for the Bank to complete a thoughtful, inspiring, to celebrate its heritage and prepare for its future.
